Embarking on a journey up the Oregon coast along Highway 1 is a mesmerizing exploration of nature’s artistry, unveiling a tapestry of coastal wonders that captivate the soul. This scenic drive, hugging the edge of the Pacific, invites travelers to immerse themselves in the ever-changing beauty of Oregon’s coastline.

Starting near Grants Pass OR, we will start our journey around 10am and make our way through the winding forest roads that have a wonderful combination of dirt and back road pavement. We will traverse the coastal mountain range and arrive at the amazing Oregon coastline in Gold Beach Or. At Gold Beach is when we start the journey North along the Oregon Coast. Stopping at a campground with stellar ocean views just North of Gold Beach dinner will be served around the time we get to camp so be ready for an amazing dinner prepared by our gourmet chef and time to let the stories around the campfire begin. The sunsets along the Oregon coast are nothing short of breathtaking. As the sun dips below the horizon, hues of orange, pink, and purple paint the sky, casting a warm glow over the vast expanse of the Pacific. Pull over at one of the many scenic viewpoints to witness this daily spectacle, where the sun bids adieu to the day, casting long shadows across the rocky shores.

Day 2: Coffee will be ready by 7am and breakfast will be served by 8am. After breakfast we will pack it up and get ready for the adventures that await. Day 2 is packed with fun. Starting just outside of Gold Beach we will continue our drive along the Oregon coastline, taking back roads down to secret beach spots, into the forest and checking out amazing places along the way. You’ll encounter charming coastal towns, where artisan shops and seafood eateries beckon with the promise of local delights. Explore state parks and hiking trails that lead to hidden waterfalls, and breathe in the crisp, rejuvenating air that defines the Pacific Northwest. We will find camp near Newport. As we arrive, dinner will be on its way to being served and we will enjoy a wonderful night around the campfire eating dinner and telling stories of the fun adventures we all have been on.

Day 3: Coffee will be ready by 7am and breakfast will be served by 8am. After breakfast we will pack it up and get ready for a later departure. Today we are making the drive up from Newport and into Astoria. If you are a Goonies fan, be ready to see some familiar sights as we take a stop at Cannon Beach and continue up to Astoria. Culminating this coastal odyssey is the unique opportunity to drive on the beach. Find a designated stretch of coastline, let the tires of your vehicle meet the sand, and experience the exhilaration of a beachside drive. The rhythmic sound of waves accompanies your journey, and the vastness of the ocean unfolds before you as you navigate the open shoreline. We will be ending our day at Fort Stevens State Park out on the beaches of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean, we will snag a group photo, say our goodbyes and sadly go our separate ways.
