This is a base camp style of trip based out of Bishop, CA. Each day you will be guided on a different loop of amazing backroads visiting old gold mines, historical petroglyphs, ancient forests, and high Alpine meadows. This base camp style experience allows for an easy morning and night as you’ll end up back at your camp spot each day ready for the next day. It will be a camping trip full of amazing views, possible river crossings and some technical off-roading and not to be taken lightly. November in the Sierra experiences freezing temperatures. Please pack appropriately for your trip, clothing, and equipment wise. This 4-day, guided adventure includes scenic & historic destinations of the Eastern Sierra. Using paved and unpaved roads you’ll have approximately 60 miles of fun each day! This route can be done by beginners if they are willing to learn and take their time, but it is recommended for intermediate off-road skill level. Experienced drivers can be challenged by choosing “hard” splits if available. We do our best to include as many miles of dirt as possible. 3 days of stunning California beauty, hanging out around camp and meeting new people, this won’t be a trip you’ll forget!

All participants are required to have and use a UHF radio to communicate within our group. 1 Radio will be given to you for the duration of the trip. We will be using a set channel that DOES NOT require a HAM radio operator Lic. We also encourage the use of Gaia GPS, it is the software we use to create the route for everyone, but any GPS is acceptable if it has the routes on it.

This is a catered event where breakfast and dinner are provided for participants at camp. Lunch will be on the trail and up to you. We will have plenty of time to make lunch at our lunch stops and enjoy the views. Our support staff are there to help you throughout your Lost Coast Experience.
